The Planetary Drive AMX 4 Wheel is connected to the base of a mobile X-ray unit. This wheel provides a circular frame arranged on a central axis in order that the mobile unit may roll or reset upon it, when used in conjunction with the mobile X-ray unit. There are two identical wheels in mobile X-ray unit, each wheel is driven independently by a separate motor and drive electronics. The threaded fasteners are protected against vibration induced loosening by the use of lock washers, lock nuts or chemical means. The planetary drive AMX 4 wheel is mechanically interfaced to the base of the mobile unit through a fixed shaft which is located at the center of the circular frame.
