The gas spring, also called gas strut, gas pressure springs, gas dampers or gas pressure dampers, are used as a solution for the requirements for opening, closing, tilting and damping flaps in machines and other equipments. These are similar to the typical mechanical springs that relies on elastic deformation while these spring uses compressed gas contained within an enclosed cylinder sealed by a sliding piston to pneumatically store potential energy and withstand external force applied parallel to the direction of the piston shaft. This assembly comes with eyelet end for mounting and provides a travel of 20 mm. This assembly is suitable for force of upto 400 N.
